The Annual CASSOA Symposium
The CASSOA Symposium was first held in October 2009 in Arusha, Tanzania in commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the revived East African Community. The second Symposium took place in Entebbe, Uganda in May 2013 where it was resolved that it becomes an annual event. The third CASSOA Symposium is slated for Kigali, Rwanda in May 2014.
The Symposium provides a platform for aviation stakeholders in the region to examine the role of the aviation sector in deepening EAC integration and in this regard brings together aviation sector regulators, air transport operators and service providers, professionals, legislators and air transport policy makers among others, to deliberate on key issues relating to aviation safety and security in the EAC region.
